speights hoping to show off expanded range against warriors

oakland – marreese speights knows his audience, so it wasn’t too surprising to hear his response when a los angeles clippers writer asked him if he expected to be booed when he entered the game against the warriors urday night.“the fans, they ain’t never gonna boo me here,” speights said prior to his regular-season return to oracle arena as a member of the clippers. “every day, they’re hitting me up on instagram and twitter, always saying, `thanks, mo, i can’t wait to you come back,’ all that kind of stuff. it’s always good, and i really appreciate it.”the man who be e affectionately known as “mo buckets” in his three years as a warrior played at oracle in the preseason. bbut as speights admitted, that almost didn’t count and he was very nervous then. he said this counting game “will be fo

steph curry, warriors pound clippers 144-98

oakland — backed by some steph curry ridiculousness, the warriors smashed the clippers 144-98 on urday night in oracle arena. here is some id reaction.turning pointwith 2:28 left in the first half, j.j. redick nailed a straight-on 3 after a deandre jordan missed free throw to bring the clippers within 10. steve kerr made a substitution seconds earlier, replacing zaza pachulia with klay thompson. the hamptons 5 (or mega death lineup) was deployed to close the half. this season, their performance together has been surprisingly pedestrian. urday may have been their most dominant stretch. the five — steph curry, thompson, andre iguodala, kevin durant and draymond green — closed the half on a 17-6 run that turned that 10-point lead into a 21-point runaway. green bottled up a previously blake gr

swarm of underwater robots helps scientists study ocean dynamics

a swarm of seafaring robots unleashed by researchers at uc san diego has discovered how plankton might get together to have : by harnessing the motion of the ocean.the robots, described in the journal nature communications, shed fresh light on the mysterious behaviors of the tiny but legion creatures that help form the foundation of marine food chains.scientists have long tried to study plankton, a catchall term for a diverse array of living things that reside in large bodies of water. plankton can include bacteria, algae and even tiny animals, but these disparate groups and species share at least one characteristic: an inability to swim against a current.as you can imagine, this has the potential to put a big crimp in a little plankter’s love life.“if you want to find another plankter jus

you're too dumb to understand global warming nos.

i recently wrote about the wretched reporting on the claim that 2016 was the “ test year on record,” using as my main example a new york times article by justin gillis that gave his readers none of the relevant numbers they could use to evaluate that claim. none of them. if you search for the actual numbers, you will eventually find that the effect they are claiming, the actual amount by which this year was ter than previous years, is smaller than the margin of error in the data.shortly afterward, i got a revealing response from gillis. i’ll fill in all the details for you, because the whole thing is an important case study in why you can’t trust mainstream reporting on global warming. but let’s just cut to the chase. when i asked him why he didn’t include the basic numbers we need to unde

austin rivers is finally busting out, and showing the ability that we all knew he had.  it appears that biggest factors in this breakout are minutes and confidence.  rivers is playing with swagger now, and the numbers bear that out.  over the last two weeks he’s averaging a slash line of 17.2/2.3/4.3/0.5/0.3 with 2.2 treys, 48% fg and 80% from the stripe.  he’s a must-own while cp3 is out, and frankly, he should be a solid part of the clippers future from here on out.  unfortunately he’s now just over 50% owned in most leagues, so this is the last call on rivers.  please go get him…secondly, i would just like to point out what a miserable team the sacramento kings are.  rudy gay is out now, yet nobody gained any value.  how is that even possible??? gay’s injury opened up 34 minutes per gam

snedeker and rodgers share lead at farmers insurance open
