california wines get paired with mac and cheese at six central coast wineries


get ready for melty gooey goodness. up and down highway 1 between cambria and harmony, six central coast wineries on pacific coast wine trial are opening their wine cellars for a progressive mac-and-cheese wine pairing event, which will run from 12-3 p.m. on oct. 8.during the progressively cheesy event, each winery will dish up a different mac and cheese, provided by local comfort-food fave, linn’s restaurant, and pair it with wine. and andouille and smoked gouda dish will be paired with harmony cellars’ 2014 malbec, for example. stolo family vineyards will be serving lobster, leek and mascarpone mac and cheese, and twin coyotes winery will serve a shishito pepper and brie version.the mac and cheese is included in the regular tasting fee ($5-$10) at each winery. find more details at www.pa
