a motorcyclist died in a crash late friday after striking an animal in south loveland, police reported.the identity of the rider was not released, but police said the man was riding south in the 3600 block of south lincoln avenue just before 10 p.m. when he struck an animal on the roadway. the rider, who was not wearing a helmet, was thrown from his bike. he was pronounced dead at the scene.police said they are investigating if drugs, alcohol or speed were factors in the crash.
