methods

this is where you go through the practical details of your research. some researchers choose the term methodology as the title of this section. caution must be exercised here because the term methodology is a philosophical term and is more concerned with whether a research is qualitative or quantitative. as it was mentioned earlier, this is the part in which you explain the details of your work, your participants, the instruments, the procedure of how you gathered the data and the way you are going to analyze your data. hence, there usually are four parts in the methods section of a quantitative paper: participants you talk about those who took part in your study. you explain the demog hics, the information of the participants. in this part you try to explain your sample. it is a must that you talk about your way of sampling, whether it was random, convenient, etc. it is worth mentioning that you need to explain your sampling procedure, meaning that mere mentioning of the name of sampling would not suffice. if there were any drop-outs this is where you mention them. there are no criticisms or mention of limitations here. instrumentation here you mention how you gathered your data, whether you used a questionnaire, observations, a reading, a proficiency test and the like. you must explain your instruments in details. procedure the details of the procedure are described here. how long it took, how it was carried out and so on. data analysis here in only a few parag hs you talk about the tests you are going to use to analyze the data. by that we mean what kind of statistical technique( t-test, anova, correlation, …) you are going to use. ... ادامه ...

structure os a paper: abstract: overview, hypothesis and aims introduction: this part sets the scene and explain the importance of the paper, it is usually written in the end literarure review: it is a critical review of what is known and where are the gaps, nowadays, literature review is not too long, because most od the issues are known and there is no need to repeat them. and you should be familiar with your readers, so that you wont give extra information. note that some researchers bring literature review and intruduction in one section. methods: you explain your plan for doing the research, including participants, instruments for gathering data and etc. results: you describe the results, this section is descriptive, you can mention which software you have used and you can bring figures (consistent with apa), even when you describe something, you can bering the numbers in pranthesis disscussion: in this section you answer two questions: 1)why so? (why is it that your results are so) 2)so what? (what is the significance of it?). the reader can find your trace in this section, most of the students have got problem with this section, since they can not explain why... conclusion: this part is not very difficult, since you review the previous sections here. you can even add this section to the previous one under the heading of disscussion. the stucture of thesis: the structure of thesis is more deciplined and robust: chapter1: introduction chapter2: litereture review chapter 3: methods chapter 4: results chapter 4: conclusion result and conclusion can be in one section or seperate ones structure of a proposal: abstract--> introduction--> review of litereture---> methods (the most important one) ... ادامه ...

how to write an introduction?there is a growing consensus on how to write an introduction, the three pictures below, illustrate the 3 basic moves for writing a successful introduction: how to write a thesis introduction? follow the following pattern. 1.1. background of the study in this section, you need to: - establish your research territory - explain the importance of the area you are going to work on - explain the general significance of your work - report the latest research carried out on your topic in general not in detail (try to mention the most important figures and theories). note: try to create a sense of suspension and keep your audience eager to follow the rest. 1.2. statement of the problem in this section you need to write where the gap is? what is the real problem you are conducting a study for? 1.3. purpose of the study and research questions you need to explain the purpose of your study and its goals. then, you need to formulate your research questions based on the way you are going to measure the variables. questions formulated with (is, are, etc.) usually lend themselves to quantitative studies. questions formulated with (how, etc.) usually lead to qualitative studies and questions formulated with (do, does) may entail a qualitative or quantitative study. after formulating your research questions, you need to write down your hypothesis (null or directional) based on the literature you have already reviewed. remember that if your study is a qualitative one, you do not need to write down a hypothesis, since you are not aware of the possible findings in the future. 1.4. significance of the study you need to write about the implications and applications of your study and explain why you think your research is going to be significant. 1.5. definition of ... ادامه ...

let us learn about the general structure of papers, thesis and thesis proposals for this session. general structure of a paper abstract - should be concise and easy to understand (usually between 150-200 words). - contains overview, hypothesis and aims of your study 1. introduction - sets the scene and explains importance 2. literature review -write about what is known and where are the gaps till now. -critical reviews are more admissible 3. method (methodology) -explains your plan for doing the research -usually consists of three parts: participants (subjects), instruments and procedure participants: in this part you explain the details of the participants who cooperated in your study. who they were? what was their gender? what were their ages? what was their educational level? were they married or single? what were they jobs? and the questions alike. note 1: in studies related to human sciences, we call the ones who cooperated in our study participants. in natural sciences the participants are called subjects and they are also treated that way. instruments: in this section you explain the method of your data collection. how did you conducted the study? did you use any special instruments (questionnaires, tests, etc.)? if yes, where did you get them? procedure: you explain about the general procedure of your data collection and the way you conducted the study. 4. results you report the results of your study. this part usually contains tables and statistics. 5. discussion - you need to discuss the results you obtained, you need to explain what all these mean and why such results are important? -remember that you need to answer 2 important questions in this section: why so? and so what? -you need to write about the theoretical and practical implications of your study. 6. ... ادامه ...

after several review sessions on introduction part, we proceeded to learn how to write other sections of our proposals. chapter 2: review of literature the second chapter of one’s proposals should be review of literature. in review of literature, we go through the previous works done on our research question or topic. there are different ways to come up with that. three of the most famous ones are reviewed below: 1. historical: start from the beginning of a research area and narrate different works carried out in this regard chronologically. 2. thematic: the chronology does not matter here. the author states related themes in order to come to a sound understanding of the previous studies. 3. summary: to summarize the related works one by one. that is to say, the author gives a general description of a study in about a parag ... h and then moves to the description of another study. this is one of the easiest techniques to write this chapter. in one or two lines, you describe the statement of the problem and research questions of that study and then explain the methods (how the study was carried out, with what sample, which instruments), you explain what results they gained and discuss the implications of their study in general. you are then free to criticize their work in short. remember that, ... uration is the key. whenever you felt your writing is ... urated, stop writing and move to the next section. the following power point slides by dr. m. momenian might be of great help for you to understand how to write this chapter. chapter 3: methods some people name this chapter methods, some call it methodology. methodology is a general term. methods is more specific. therefore, our instructor’s preference is to name it methods. the methods section comprises 4 major part ... ادامه ...

10 golden rules of pronunciation: 19th century victorian poem

10 golden rules of pronunciation: 19th century victorian poem sentences begin with a capital letter, so as to make your writing better.use a full stop to mark the end, it closes every sentence penned.the comma is for short pauses and breaks, and also for lists the writer makes.dashes - like these - are for thoughts by the way, they give extra information (so do brackets we might say).these two dots are colons: they pause to compare, they also do this: list, explain and prepare.the semicolon makes a break; followed by a clause. it does the job of words that link; it's also a short pause.an apostrophe shows the owner of anyone's things, and it's also useful for shortenings.i'm so glad! he's so mad! we're having such a lark! to show strong feelings use an exclamation mark!a question mark follows what? when? where? why? and how? do you? can i? shall we? give us your answer now!quotation marks enclose what is said, which is why they're sometimes called "speech marks" instead. ... ادامه ...

nvidia lets you peer inside the black box of its self-driving ai***

intelligent machines nvidia lets you peer inside the black box of its self-driving ai in a step toward making ai more accountable, nvidia has developed a neural network for autonomous driving that highlights what it’s focusing on. by will knight may 3, 2017 nvidia has developed a self-driving ai that shows you how it works.as we explained in our latest cover story, “the dark secret at the heart of ai,” some of the most powerful machine-learning techniques available result in software that is almost completely opaque, even to the engineers that build it. approaches that provide some clues as to how an ai works will, therefore, be hugely important for building trust in a technology that looks set to revolutionize everything from medicine to manufacturing.nvidia provides chips that are ideal for deep learning, an especially powerful machine-learning technique (see “10 breakthrough technologies 2013: deep learning”). nvidia's neural network software highlights the areas it's focusing on as it makes driving decisions. the chip maker has also been developing systems that demonstrate how an automaker might apply deep learning to autonomous driving. this includes a car that is controlled entirely by a deep-learning algorithm. amazingly, the vehicle’s computer isn’t given any rules to follow—it simply matches input from several video eras to the behavior of a human driver, and figures out for itself how it should drive. the only catch is that the system is so complex that it’s difficult to untangle how it actually works.but nvidia is working to open this black box. it has developed a way to visually highlight what the system is paying attention to. as explained in a recently published paper, the neural network architecture developed by nvidia’s researchers is ... ادامه ...

cosm-1

the cornerstone of modern cosmology is the belief that the place that we occupy in theuniverse is in no way special. this is known as the cosmological principle, and it is anidea which is both powerful and simple. it is intriguing, then, that for the bulk of the historyof civilization it was believed that we occupy a very special location, usually the centre, inthe scheme of things.the ancient greeks, in a model further developed by the alexandrian ptolemy, believedthat the earth must lie at the centre of the cosmos. it would be circled by the moon, the sunand the planets, and then the ‘fixed’ stars would be yet further away. a complex combina-tion of circular motions, ptolemy’s epicycles, was devised in order to explain the motionsof the planets, especially the phenomenon of retrograde motion where planets appear totemporarily reverse their direction of motion. it was not until the early 1500s that coper-nicus stated forcefully the view, initiated nearly two thousand years before by aristarchus, that one should regard the earth, and the other planets, as going around the sun. by ensur-ing that the planets moved at different speeds, retrograde motion could easily be explainedby this theory. however, although copernicus is credited with removing the anthropocen-tric view of the universe, which placed the earth at its centre, he in fact believed that thesun was at the centre.newton’s theory of gravity put what had been an empirical science (kepler’s discoverythat the planets moved on elliptical orbits) on a solid footing, and it appears that newtonbelieved that the stars were also suns pretty much like our own, distributed evenly through-out infinite space, in a static configuration. however it seems that newton was aware thatsuch a static configuration is unstab ... ادامه ...

2. confidence in your new relationship with christ

you can be confident in your new relationship with christ because you have been completely forgiven and accepted by god. only christ’s death on the cross is sufficient to provide this proper relationship with god. read ephesians 2:8-9. what is declared in these verses? three important words in these verses explain the basis of our acceptance before god: grace: unmerited favor, an undeserved gift q—what role did grace play in establishing your relationship with god? a—you didn’t deserve this relationship nor did you earn it by any good works. rather it is a free gift from god that you accepted when you received christ through faith. saved: rescued, spared from disaster q—what do you think this verse means by saying you are saved? from what are you rescued? a—romans 6:23 says that the final result of sin is death. when you received christ, you put your trust in christ and his death for your sin. you have been rescued from death and eternal separation from god. faith: belief, trust, commitment of mind, attitude, action q—what does faith have to do with receiving christ? a—simply put, faith is believing or trusting god and his word. when you received christ, you put your trust in christ and his death for your sin. instead of believing in your own ability to earn god’s favor, you must now trust that you have been reconciled to god through what christ has done for you. key question: suppose you were standing before god and he asked you, “why should i let you into my heaven?” what would you say? ... ادامه ...

apply a tanning bed lotion an hour before and immediately after every tanning session. tanning bed lotions protect your skin and help to accelerate the tanning process. tanning bed lotions contain tyrosine, an amino acid that stimulates production of the skin pigment melanin. tyrosine ... ists the uvb rays in stimulating melanin production. uva rays oxidize the melanin, producing color. many tanning bed lotions contain vitamin e. the anti-oxidant effects of vitamin e, as well as those of tyrosine, work to prevent wrinkles and fine lines, especially on your face. copper, another common tanning bed lotion ingredient, works to reduce the visibility of scars and other minor blemishes. (incidentally, copper also ... ists tyrosine in the production of important brain chemicals. this could help explain the mild euphoria experienced by regular tanners. research into the possible anti-depressive applications of the tanning industry continues to this day.) all tanning bed lotions have a moisturizing element, which magnifies the tanning effects of uva rays, while counteracting the drying and peeling effects of uvb rays. as if all this weren't enough, many tanning bed lotions contain hempseed oil, aloe vera, or any of a number of other nutrients to guard your skin from the relentless ravages of the natural environment. different types of tanning bed lotions exist for different purposes. some are formulated as "tan accelerators" that contain ingredients amplifying the effects of the tyrosine. others are used mainly as an after-tan to replenish lost moisture. be sure to choose one that is suited to your skin tone. if you are light skinned or do not yet have a base tan, choose a type i or ii. for moderate skin tones, choose a type ii, iii or iv. for darker skin tones, a type iv or v s ... ادامه ...

:(refrences and citation(a short review of how to use endnote

for every researcher, it is one of the primary steps of research to review the related literarture on the topic. as a result of this review, there will be some books and papers parts or notions of which are includedin the final research paper. since we are mandated by both ethics and rules of copy right, we need to mention which parts of the text are taken from other books or papers and also list those books and papers at the end of our paper or book under refrences. endnote is an easy and quick way of doing so and in this post we are going to explain how it can be used to serve our purpose. the first step is to create a library. to do so open the program and from file-->new,choose the location and save. with your library created, it is then time to add papers to it. this can be done either manually or using a website. open a data base on your web browser, choose the paper you are looking for and export it into your library. you might also want to attach the .pdf file of the book or paper to its link in the library. the file and select the link in the library and using the tool box on the right choose attach, find the file and select it. after adding a refrence to your library it is time to add a citation to your paper.before you begin, you need to choose a citation format, the one we use in our field is apa6th. open word and start writing, whenever you want to cite a sentence just endnote from the taskbar,in the toolbox on top choose style and select apa6th. now click on add citation and in the window opened choose the paper you are citing. after this you should see the name of the book and its auther appearing in parentheses after your sentence and a more complete version of the information at the bottom, this is what you are going to need at the end of your paper as a ... ادامه ...

be your brand

how well does your business embody your brand? it’s hard to find a better example of a person that intrinsically understood their business and did everything in their ability to keep all aspects of the business on brand than stanley marcus. and, perhaps no story illustrates his deep understanding of the neiman marcus business more than an encounter he had with a merchandise manager concerning milk and dark chocolates: merchandise manager: “this is what the public wants. what right do we have to tell them to eat dark chocolate?” stanley marcus: “milk chocolate is a yokel taste. chocolate-educated customers will be turned off by seeing so much milk chocolate and we will lose their trade. i’d rather ... isfy them than the yokels, if it comes to choosing up sides, but i think we can please both by simply reversing the percentages between the two kinds of chocolate. it’s our job to educate our customers as well as in sell them.” the merchandise manager made the change and, over time, their customers made the change to dark chocolate. stanley marcus goes on to explain: “what the buyer and the merchandise manager had not understood was that our reputation would be endangered when our customers sent christmas gifts of milk chocolate to sophisticated friends around the country. both the sender and the store would be blamed; so, in the long run, we did a service for the customer as well as the store.” without having such an intrinsic understanding of the brand should be in its ideal form, stanley marcus could have easily made the wrong decision for the brand. and, that’s exactly what happened with harley-davidson. when harley threw their 100th anniversary party on august 31, 2003, an energetic crowd quickly be ... e silent: elton john was revealed as the surpr ... ادامه ...

this physicist says consciousness could be a new state of matter****

this physicist says consciousness could be a new state of matter 'perceptronium'. bec crew 16 sep 2016 consciousness isn't something scientists like to talk about much. you can't see it, you can't touch it, and despite the best efforts of certain researchers, you can't quantify it. and in science, if you can't measure something, you're going to have a tough time explaining it. but consciousness exists, and it's one of the most fundamental aspects of what makes us human. and just like dark matter and dark energy have been used to fill some otherwise gaping holes in the standard model of physics, researchers have also proposed that it's possible to consider consciousness as a new state of matter. to be clear, this is just a hypothesis, and one to be taken with a huge grain of salt, because we're squarely in the realm of the hypothetical here, and there's plenty of room for holes to be poked. but it's part of a quietly bubbling movement within theoretical physics and neuroscience to try and attach certain basic principles to consciousness in order to make it more observable. the hypothesis was first put forward in 2014 by cosmologist and theoretical physicist max tegmark from mit, who proposed that there's a state of matter - just like a solid, liquid, or gas - in which atoms are arranged to process information and give rise to subjectivity, and ultimately, consciousness. the name of this proposed state of matter? perceptronium, of course. as tegmark explains in his paper, published in the journal chaos, solitons & fractals: "generations of physicists and chemists have studied what happens when you group together vast numbers of atoms, finding that their collective behaviour depends on the pattern in which they are arranged: the key difference between a solid, a liquid, an ... ادامه ...

young children

parents with young children should consider adding one more thing to their (never-ending) to-do list: learn more about early social and emotional development. social & emotional skills help your child grow up healthy, happy and well-adjusted! tweet this! why is this so important? social and emotional development begins in the first year of life, so it is strongly affected by a baby’s relationship with parents and caregivers. social and emotional skills help your child become a healthy, happy, well-adjusted child. by understanding social-emotional development, parents can help children succeed. what kinds of parenting practices support healthy social-emotional development? evidence from research shows that kids benefit when parents are sensitive to their child’s emotions. be responsive to your infant’s cues. pick her up when she cries, soothe her, and pay attention to what she wants — is it milk or a nap? get to know your baby’s language through her coos, cries, and other signals. similarly, it’s good to respond quickly and in a comforting way when your infant expresses the need for safety, protection, and comfort. parents’ responses should match their baby’s cues: respond positively to smiles, and use a soothing, calm voice when he or she is crying or fussy. support your child’s autonomy, especially as he or she approaches the toddler stage. children learn by doing. it can be tempting to immediately jump in when your toddler can’t figure out how something works but she’s learning by repetition. encourage her independence by allowing her to have supervised, but unstructured playtime where she decides what materials to play with and let her figure out on her own that the big pot can’t fit inside the smaller one! provide a stable, supportive environ ... ادامه ...

new theory of gravity might explain dark matter

new theory of gravity might explain dark matter november 8, 2016 credit: wikipedia a new theory of gravity might explain the curious motions of stars in galaxies. emergent gravity, as the new theory is called, predicts the exact same deviation of motions that is usually explained by invoking dark matter. prof. erik verlinde, renowned expert in string theory at the university of amsterdam and the delta institute for theoretical physics, published a new research paper today in which he expands his groundbreaking views on the nature of gravity. in 2010, erik verlinde surprised the world with a completely new theory of gravity. according to verlinde, gravity is not a fundamental force of nature, but an emergent phenomenon. in the same way that temperature arises from the movement of microscopic particles, gravity emerges from the changes of fundamental bits of information, stored in the very structure of spacetime. newton's law from information in his 2010 article (on the origin of gravity and the laws of newton), verlinde showed how newton's famous second law, which describes how apples fall from trees and ellites stay in orbit, can be derived from these underlying microscopic building blocks. extending his previous work and work done by others, verlinde now shows how to understand the curious behaviour of stars in galaxies without adding the puzzling dark matter. the outer regions of galaxies, like our own milky way, rotate much faster around the centre than can be accounted for by the quantity of ordinary matter like stars, planets and interstellar g es. something else has to produce the required amount of gravitational force, so physicists proposed the existence of dark matter. dark matter seems to dominate our universe, comprising more than 80 percent of all matter. hi ... ادامه ...

physicists just e up with a mathematical model for a viable time machine

physicists just e up with a mathematical model for a viable time machine "mathematically, it is possible." bec crew 28 apr 2017 physicists have come up with what they claim is a mathematical model of a theoretical "time machine" - a box that can move backwards and forwards through time and space. the trick, they say, is to use the curvature of space-time in the universe to bend time into a circle for hypothetical p engers sitting in the box, and that circle allows them to skip into the future and the past. "people think of time travel as something as fiction. and we tend to think it's not possible because we don't actually do it," says theoretical physicist and mathematician, ben tippett, from the university of british columbia in canada. "but, mathematically, it is possible." together with david tsang, an astrophysicist at the university of maryland, tippett has used einstein's theory of general relativity to come up with a mathematical model of what they're calling a traversable acausal retrograde domain in space-time (yep, the acronym is literally tardis). but before we get into the madness of legit time travel, let's put this into perspective real quick - the researchers aren't claiming to have a blueprint for a doctor who-style time machine that can be built tomorrow. they say the materials we'd need to build this thing are so exotic, we haven't even discovered them yet... but we'll get to that in a minute. firstly, let's talk about what tippett and tsang are actually proposing. the model is based on the idea that instead of looking at the universe in three spatial dimensions, with the fourth dimension (time) separated, we should be imagining those four dimensions simultaneously. that allows us to consider the possibility of a space-time continuum, where different ... ادامه ...

brand dna

our approach to understanding customers is founded on what we call the brand dna. brand dna is the root for developing all long-term strategies and short-term tactics. the brand dna consists of three interlocking parts: maslow’s hierarchy of needs jungian archetypes the cultural story maslow’s hierarchy of human needs our work on customers began fifteen years ago trying to understand why some customers develop strong relationships with some brands—brands we labeled cult brands. at the heart of this understanding was humanistic psychology, specifically maslow’s hierarchy of human needs. maslow described these needs as instinctoid: they function instinctually in a way like a fight or flight response does. on some level, these needs motivate everything we do, including purchasing behavior. but not every brand ... isfies the same needs. understanding the needs you fulfill best is important so that your messaging and strategy does not emphasize something that isn’t motivating your customers to do business with you. it’s important for brands to play to their strengths. jungian archetypes humanistic psychology acts as a foundation, but it offers an incomplete picture: it doesn’t explain how the instincts manifest psychically or phenomena like some mothers not having strong maternal instincts. for this, we turn to carl jung’s work on archetypes. jung has largely been misused by the business world. those that attempt to apply jungian ideas tend to try and pigeonhole brands into a limited number of archetypes. this runs counter to jung’s thinking: he saw the number of potential archetypes as being vast. jung thought of archetypes as patterns fueled by instincts. these archetypes are evolutionary psychic structures. he used the term collective unconscious to desc ... ادامه ...

ترجمه مقاله شناخت ریسک و بازده ، capm و مدل سه عاملی فاما – فرنچ در ۳۷ صفحه با فرمت wordrisk and returnthe general concept: higher expected returns require taking higher risk most investors are comfortable with the notion that taking higher levels of risk is necessary to expect to earn higher returns. in this note, we explain two important models that have been developed to make this relationship precise. then we explain how such tools can be used by investors to evaluate ets such as mutual funds. why should riskier companies have higher returns? intuitively, an investor would require a higher expected return in exchange for accepting greater risk. and, we do, in fact observe this relationship when we look back at historical long-run returns of stocks, bonds, and less risky securities as shown in the first chart. to understand this, imagine an investment that is expected to generate $۱ million per year in perpetuity. how much is someone likely to pay for such an et? the answer depends on the uncertainty or riskiness of the cash flows. with complete certainty that the cash flows will all be paid when promised, an investor would discount the et at the risk-free rate. as the degree of uncertainty increases, the return required to justify the risk will be much higher, resulting in a much lower price the investor would be willing to pay, simply because of the higher required discount rate. furthermore, economists have made the umption that investors are risk-averse, meaning that they are willing to sacrifice some return (and accept even less than the expected present value of the future returns) to reduce risk. if this umption is true, we would expect investors to demand a higher return to justify the additional r ... ادامه ...

physicists make id progress in bounding the speed of gravity

physicists make id progress in bounding the speed of gravity november 1, 2017 by lisa zyga artist’s illustration of two merging neutron stars. credit: nsf/ligo/sonoma state university/a. simonnet (phys.org)—recent gravitational wave detections have allowed physicists to confirm with greater and greater precision what einstein predicted over 100 years ago in the theory of general relativity: that gravity does not act instantaneously as newton thought, but instead propagates at the speed of light. "the speed of gravity, like the speed of light, is one of the fundamental constants in the universe," neil cornish, a physicist at montana state university, told phys.org. "until the advent of gravitational wave astronomy, we had no way to directly measure the speed of gravity." over the past few months, physicists have made very id progress in bounding the speed of gravity using gravitational wave observations. initially, the first ligo detections of gravitational waves constrained the speed of gravity to within 50% of the speed of light. in a paper published last week in physical review letters, cornish and his coauthors diego blas at cern and germano nardini at the university of bern have combined the first three gravitational wave events reported by the ligo and virgo collaborations, allowing them to improve the original bounds to within roughly 45% of the speed of light. just two days later (and after the physicists mentioned above wrote their paper), another paper was published in the astrophysical journal letters by the ligo and virgo collaborations, whose authors are affiliated with nearly 200 institutions around the world. by using data from the gravitational waves emitted by a binary neutron star merger detected in august, they were able to constrain the difference ... ادامه ...

sunless tanning salons today

when the weather starts to warm up and the days get longer, we are all drawn outdoors to enjoy the sun. many will recall seemingly endless hours outdoors, soaking up the sun's rays without a care. unfortunately, sunbathing isn't as carefree an activity as it used to be. these days, there's more to worry about, such as premature neo skin lab derma21 aging, scarring and blemishes, or even skin cancer. the sunless tanning salon is becoming more and more diversified. high-end salons and spas are starting to supplement their uv tanning services with sunless. sessions can cost anywhere from $25 per session to up to $100 for a few one-hour sessions. when a person visits a sunless tanning salon, they have the option of using a spray booth or having a technician apply the tanner with an airbrush system. there are also the options of uv tanning via tanning beds and even application of tanning lotions by salon staff. the latter can cost up to $125 per session, and whether or not this service is available will depend on the salon. many salons sell tanning lotions, mousses, bronzers, and other products in addition to their in-house services. the tanning spray used in a sunless tanning salon contains dihydroxyacetone (dha). dha reacts with dead skin cells on the surface of the body, causing them to turn brown. as dead skin peels off, the tan fades, just like with a natural suntan. some sunless tanning salons add cosmetic bronzers to their formulas, which cause the effects of the tan to show up sooner, sometimes immediately. dha without a bronzer added does not begin to show results for two to four hours after neo skin lab derma21 a session. a good sunless tanning salon will have knowledgeable, open staff that will explain procedures, precautions, and aftercare to clients. follow-up c ... ادامه ...

the danger of apostasy

the danger of apostasy of the awaiting people of the promised mahdi (pbuh) the birth of imam jawad (pbuh), the ninth imam of shias, is one of the most blessed and propitious events in shia’s history, because before this event, according to the divine wisdom of god, imam reza (pbuh) had to wait a longer time for his child. that’s why some of ahl-al-bayt’s enemies laid their hope on this issue and considered imamate as a finished matter and on the other hand, the shias were worried and were waiting for their next imam. but the birth of imam jawad (pbuh) made ahl-al-bayt’s enemies hopeless and their friends happy. the notable point is that one of the reasons of the prolongation of imam jawad’s birth (pbuh) is probably laid on this point that god had begun preparing shias to wait for the infallible imam since imam jawad’s period (pbuh). it means that waiting for meeting imam happened in the process of imam reza’s (pbuh) childbearing, and after him, the next imams prepared shias for the days of absence of imam of each era and waiting for his reappearance through planned programs. therefore, during his short but blessed life, imam jawad (pbuh) has always brought up the issue of the reappearance of the last savior who is the third child of him, and has tried to explain imam mahdi’s (pbuh) character and the way of his reappearance. shaykh saduq, in his book kamal ul-din quotes from a person named saqre-ibn-dolaf and says: “i heard from imam jawad (pbuh) mentioning the names of the imams after him and he be e silent when he mentioned the name of imam h an askari (pbuh). i asked imam: who is the imam after him? imam jawad (pbuh) cried his eyes out. and then said: after him, it is his child who is the standing one based on the right (not void) and he is the one w ... ادامه ...

the psychology of language and thought part one1

in robert w. rieber (ed.), dialogues on the psychology of language and thought, plenum, 1983 question: what role does cognition play in the acquisition and development of language? do linguistic factors influence general cognitive development? chomsky: i would like to re-phrase the first question and ask what role other aspects of cognition play in the acquisition of language since, as put, it is not a question i can answer. i would want to regard language as one aspect of cognition and its development as one aspect of the development of cognition. it seems to me that what we can say in general is this: there are a number of cognitive systems which seem to have quite distinct and specific properties. these systems provide the basis for certain cognitive capacities — for simplicity of exposition, i will ignore the distinction and speak a bit misleadingly about cognitive capacities. the language faculty is one of these cognitive systems. there are others. for example, our capacity to organize visual space, or to deal with abstract properties of the number system, or to comprehend and appreciate certain kinds of al creation, or our ability to make sense of the social structures in which we play a role, which undoubtedly reflects conceptual structures that have developed in the mind, and any number of other mental capacities. as far as i can see, to the extent that we understand anything about these capacities, they appear to have quite specific and unique properties. that is, i don’t see any obvious relationship between, for example, the basic properties of the structure of language as represented in the mind on the one hand and the properties of our capacity, say, to recognize faces or understand some situation in which we play a role, or appreciate and so on. these ... ادامه ...
